This was a unique one. Cermak & Inglin is an environmental law firm with a nationwide practice, representing clients in complex environmental litigation, compliance, contaminated sites, and health and safety matters. For the website, the goal was to present the firm in a way that felt minimal, airy, and visually distinct, using restrained imagery and structure to reflect the environments and challenges their clients operate within rather than relying on traditional legal visuals.

My involvement began with the design call, where I translated the firm’s positioning and preferences into a clear visual strategy grounded in intentional minimalism. I guided the structure, typography, and art direction, including introducing the dual-line motif derived from the logo and collaborating closely with the designer Marc Gabrielle Laurio to carry that concept through the homepage and overall layout. The final site delivered a modern, confident presence that quickly became one of our most referenced designs and was met with strong client approval from the first round.

This work was completed as part of my role at The Modern Firm, where I led the creative direction and user experience strategy for the project. Development, copywriting, and project management were handled collaboratively by the TMF team. To learn more about my time at The Modern Firm, view the full case study.
