Nolan & King LLC is a long-standing Massachusetts law firm serving individuals, families, and businesses across real estate, estate planning, probate, and civil litigation matters. Their work is rooted in long-term relationships, personal service, and a deep connection to the community they have served for decades. As they looked to evolve their brand, they needed a logo that honored that history while signaling a confident step into a more modern era.
They came in with a very specific atmosphere already established through their physical space, filled with antique law books, traditional details, and a distinctly old-world sensibility, which created the challenge of modernizing without erasing that character. I focused on blending those influences through typography that felt regal and composed, paired with a shield icon inspired by the armor in their office, creating a mark that felt intentional rather than ornamental. The final logo feels classic and grounded, but refined enough to carry the firm forward as the foundation for a broader brand refresh, especially inspiring visual elements used in their website design, created by Trinity Reyes. The client loved their logo and they are quite proud of it.
