Injury Lawyers of NJ is a New Jersey personal injury firm representing people facing serious injury cases against insurers and large institutions. Led by Natalie Zammitti Shaw and Sheri Breen, the firm combines aggressive courtroom advocacy with a deeply personal approach rooted in trust, care, and tenacity. For the brand, they needed a logo that felt authoritative and timeless while clearly reflecting their identity as two confident female attorneys operating in a male-dominated space.

The client came in wanting three specific elements in the logo: lady Justice, the scales, and the wreaths… and my challenge was figuring out how to include all three without the mark feeling crowded or overwhelming. I focused on combining those elements into a clean, iconic mark with clear hierarchy, then walked them through why pairing black, magenta, and blue created competing base colors that weakened the logo, recommending a darker foundation with magenta used more strategically instead. They trusted that direction, and the final logo feels balanced and authoritative while still reflecting the strength and femininity of the two attorneys.

This work was completed during my time at The Modern Firm. I carried out the entire design process, from the concepting stage, through the final delivery. I also provide creative direction for the design of the client’s website. You can check out that portfolio sample here.
